DISCO’s independent curatorial team has assembled a diverse playlist of selections from newly opted in catalogs, from ones specializing in Japanese indie, alternative, and hip-hop to vintage reggae, soul, funk, pop, folk, rock, dance, and electronic treasures from Africa (and its diaspora). All are currently available for sync placement.

stoop lee – “SWEETBABYRAE” (Assemble Sound)
This laid-back track by the Detroit-based rapper stoop lee (“SWEETBABYRAE”) is currently housed in Assemble Sound’s catalog. Speaking on the track’s title, stoop lee said in an interview: “I’m a fan of the barbecue sauce! It’s a very nostalgic thing for me since I had it a lot growing up. Even the spelling, R-A-E, my mom is a huge fan of Corinne Bailey Rae. I thought it would be interesting to mold the two together.”
Launched in 2015 as a free DIY studio space, Assemble Sound is also based in Detroit and houses tracks from contemporary indie artists, including local Detroit rapper Tiny Jag, genre-bending performer Sam Austins, Colorado rock act Slow Caves, and many others.
Quiet Light – “You Say I Love You” (True Panther)
Indie-folk singer Riya Mahesh performs as Quiet Light, and her 2026 selection "You Say I Love You" comes from the NYC-based True Panther. Speaking to NME, Mahesh said the giddy pop track came together as a loose remix of an older song of hers called “Fresca.” She adds, “The song is about this idea of being with someone, but kind of surrendering control."
True Panther also reps tracks by trendy contemporary indie acts like Grace Ives, rock trio Model/Actriz, and hyperpop heroes Frost Children.
Eartheater – “Glowing Guts” (Songbird Creative)
Taken from Eartheater's 2026 album Heavenly Body: If I'm the Bottle You're the Message, the dramatic, heavily rhythmic "Glowing Guts" is on Songbird Creative’s catalog. Alexandra Drewchin of Eartheater says “Glowing Guts” came out of a moment where she was “basically reading out my journal without editing that much — figuring out how to say the words at the same time as the snare hit. It was more of a rhythmic game.”
Meanwhile, the Songbird catalog offers “a highly curated selection of music from all over the globe and from all different eras.” Classic pop fans might instantly recognize The Turtles' 1967 standard-bearer "Happy Together," plus the group's 1965 cover of Bob Dylan's "It Ain't Me Babe." Songbird also holds tracks from reggae/EDM greats Major Lazer and Nigerian singer-songwriter and producer Ayra Starr.
Trooper Salute – “Zetsuen” (Space Shower Music)
Japanese experimental rockers Trooper Salute released the pleasantly twitchy "Zetsuen" on their 2026 album, tomodachi ga imashita (or, "I used to have friends"). It also lives on Space Shower Music's catalog, which features a wide range of Japanese indie, alternative, and hip-hop tracks. You’ll also find tracks by the Japanese indie quartet Mono No Aware, rapper Kid Fresino, and the rock group Suchmos.
Gabo Brown & Orchestre Poly Rythmo – “It´s a Vanity” (Analog Africa)
“It's a Vanity” is a classic Afro-funk track from the early 1970s with a James Brown groove and urgent rhythms. This vintage cut found new life in 2008 when Analog Africa released a compilation called African Scream Contest: Raw & Psychedelic Afro Sounds from Benin & Togo 70s.
Analog Africa is filled with funk, reggae, soul, pop, rock, dance, and psychedelic tracks spanning from the 1960s through 1990s. All of its artists are from Africa and its diaspora, and each artist has historically significant stories. For example, Zimbabwean '70s political performers The Green Arrows were revered for weaving social commentary into their songs, and the late '60s Angolan ensemble Jovens do Prenda were one of the first Angolan musical groups to gain international recognition.
Orlando "Cholo" Valderrama – “Colombia” (FM)
Cholo Valderrama is one of Colombia's best-known creators of traditional música llanera (llanero music). The jangly and passionate “Colombia” was originally released in 1982 and later featured on albums such as Made In Colombia: Llanera, Vol. 15 and Cholo Cantautor.
FM Entretenimiento started in Bogotá as a boutique Colombian label and is currently a global rights‑management and music‑services company with a catalog spanning salsa, vallenato, merengue, bolero, children’s music, and contemporary pop. FM’s catalog showcases regional icons, such as Jorge Velosa, Guayacán Orquesta, Galy Galiano and Andrés Cepeda, while also amplifying new voices.

Additional names within Red Brick’s catalog include alt-pop band Oliver Forest, Montreal singer Clara Jones, Mexican-Canadian jazz vocalist Ramona Vee, and more.
Rocket – “Act Like Your Title” (Transgressive)
LA-based alt-rock act Rocket released their debut full-length album, R Is For Rocket, in 2025 via Transgressive Records. Its equal parts muddy and melodic "Act Like Your Title" is about familial relationships and generational traumas, according to vocalist and bassist Alithea Tuttle. “It’s wishing someone would live up to the standards that are set for them but knowing that they will never ‘act like their title.’ Holding out hope that someone will change, especially family, is such a difficult concept and can feel so isolating.”
Transgressive's catalog also features alternative-rock icons Ed O'Brien (from Radiohead) and Graham Coxon (from Blur), underground hip-hop staples like Mykki Blanco, and rising talent like LA rock crew Jawdropped.
DJ Mujava – “Mugwanti/Sgwejegweje” (Downtown Music Publishing Africa)
“Mugwanti/Sgwejegweje” is a dancehall track by South African producer DJ Mujava and originally dropped in 2010 on the Ayobaness!: The Sound of South African House album. An upbeat and percussive entry, “Mugwanti/Sgwejegweje” is published by Downtown Music Africa, which features "a curated vault of music from the continent's most exciting creators." You can say that again: Downtown Music Africa houses tracks by recent Grammy favorites like Olivia Dean, Tyla, and Bruno Mars.
NEON11 – “NÃO PARE NUNCA” (Prism Music Group)
House and phonk producer NEON11 released the hypnotic and clattering "NÃO PARE NUNCA" (featuring Jacob Oscar Lindvall) in Summer 2026 on Prism Music Group. Little is known about who NEON11 is or where he hails from, but Prism Music specializes in global genres, from Afrobeats to Brazilian (Bossa Nova, Phonk, Samba), Latin (Bachata, Boleros, Cumbia, Flamenco, Mariachi, Reggaeton, Salsa), and more. A few of the catalog's featured artists include Danish guitarist Jacob Gurevitsch, married Stockholm guitar duo Esther & John, and West African kora player Cherif Soumano.

Los Monchos are an indie reggae band from Bogotá, Colombia, formed in 2025 by Germán Iles, Germán Sax and JEG. Their debut double single 'músico o peor' blends the laid-back pulse of reggae with indie and alternative influences, with honest songs about love, nostalgia and everyday life. Their music catalog, RT60 Lab, specializes in a range of contemporary sounds coming out of Bogotá, Colombia, with such featured acts as roots-pop singer Lady Arias and the soft-folk singer Laura Pérez, among others.
Julianna Barwick & Mary Lattimore - “Melted Moon” (InFiné Editions)
Early in 2026, Julianna Barwick and Mary Lattimore made a new collaborative album, Tragic Magic, via French label InFiné. Their transfixing eight-minute harp-and-synth track "Melted Moon,” which closes the project, layers ethereal, echoing vocals and leaves a distinct and lasting impression.
Prioritizing diversity, innovation, and artistic freedom, InFiné leads with (and represents artists who carry) a deeply philosophical approach to creation. Its global musician community is represented within its catalog, whose featured artists include chamber pianist Vanessa Wagner, experimental producer Toh Imago, French-Austrian multi-instrumentalist Tratenwald, and more.
Robert Lester Folsom – “See You Later, I'm Gone” (Sunset Songs)
A deep-cut folk-rock song from 1974, Robert Lester Folsom's "See You Later, I'm Gone" was originally recorded on a Sears two-track reel-to-reel. It found new life when it was released on Folsom's archival compilation album, Ode To A Rainy Day: Archives 1972-1975, which Anthology Recordings released in 2014. It's in the catalog by Sunset Songs, a boutique music publisher based in Brooklyn formed in partnership with the indie label Mexican Summer.
Clarissa Bitar – “Nada” (Levantine Music)
Released in late 2020, "Nada" is a spare yet moving acoustic track by the Palestinian-American oud player and composer Clarissa Bitar. Speaking to NPR about what the oud – a centuries-old Middle Eastern wooden string instrument – brings out in her artistry, Bitar said in 2025: "The oud has always been a vehicle for me to process a lot of the pain or frustration or longing or all of these things. I think that wanting to refuse to be cut off from my culture and from my land, from my identity, the oud was one of the main ways that I kept that connection very deep."
Bitar’s catalog, Levantine Music, specializes in a range of Arab music, from modern players to more traditional stylings, with such performers as Palestinian viola player and composer Samer Rashed, Palestinian singer, actress, and producer Amal Murkus, and Palestinian-Lebanese singer Zuhair Francis, among others.
