“We love DISCO Artist Pages”: How SNACKTIME Organizes Their Growing Catalog With The DISCO Artist Plan
SNACKTIME is a Philadelphia-based band specializing in a mix of soul, funk, jazz, and alternative. Comprising seven members, the group first got together during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 when they started performing free shows in Philly’s historic Rittenhouse Square neighborhood, as well as South Philly’s Passyunk Square.
From there, SNACKTIME have performed at a range of major music festivals, including SXSW, The Roots Picnic, Firefly, and Adult Swim Festival, and they opened for Portugal. The Man in early 2024. In 2025, SNACKTIME began serving as the house band for former Philadelphia Eagles player Jason Kelce on his ESPN show They Call It Late Night.
SNACKTIME bassist Sam Gellerstein spoke to DISCO about using the platform to easily share and collaborate on demos with the rest of the band and its management, as well as store promotional assets via DISCO Artist Pages, keep files password-protected and secure, and the major benefits of a DISCO Artist Plan’s unlimited storage.
“We love DISCO Artist Pages”
Sam opened up about SNACKTIME’s use of Artist Pages, a feature within the DISCO platform that lets users create dedicated webpages showcasing their music and other information, like photos, website, social links, and a bio.
“One feature we really love over at DISCO is the Artist Pages. It’s really cool to be able to put a version of the album out and then include other [versions] under the original song and have the lyrics down there, and then maybe a different revision,” he says. “The Pages function is something we use a lot.”
Nesting Track Versions using DISCO
As Sam was laying out, Artist Pages can contain playlists with Nesting Track Versions, which store multiple versions of a track — everything from instrumentals, cut-downs, a capellas, stems — with the main track for quick access and easy sharing.
“Let’s say we have our song ‘Sunshine,’ and we have the finished version,” Sam says. “Underneath we have mix three, mix two, mix one. And then we also have the ‘Sunshine’ demo. It’s really cool to be able to, at a glance, switch back and forth between different versions to check it out real quick and easy.”
Sam also notes that switching back and forth between different track versions on DISCO helps when SNACKTIME members want to collaborate and share ideas for how the track is sounding as it goes through the mixing process. “[Say] I want to hear the guitar when it was louder, here’s mix one, boom. Here’s one that’s a little quieter on mix two. You can easily compare and contrast, which is awesome for the band,” he says.
“We might not be technically savvy, but we all know how to update a link”
One of the simplest methods of sharing files within DISCO is by creating a dedicated URL featuring playlists to send to any involved party, whether it’s other band members, management, publicists, or additional members of your team.
Sam tells DISCO how SNACKTIME’s demos used to be scattered across different file-sharing platforms before they switched platforms, and now he appreciates being able to send out “a nice, convenient link.”
“Once it’s time to [send music out] to people who might want to sync us, or people who might want to produce something for us or sign us, we have this really great link that looks great and it feels great to use — it’s been really helpful to us,” Sam says.
Sam also says that DISCO’s user-friendly interface makes it easy for him and the rest of SNACKTIME to collaborate on playlists using one link. “The great thing about DISCO is that it’s easy to use for us as a band. We might not all be technically savvy, but we all know how to update a link.”
“DISCO’s password function allows you to send tracks out securely”
DISCO makes it simple to password-protect all playlists on the Artist Plan, making sending files back and forth much more secure.
“Having new versions of songs are very sensitive, especially when you have it going to any amount of people,” Sam says. “You want to make sure that you know the wrong person doesn’t get it and steal your song or something. So, it’s really cool that the password function allows you to send it out securely without concern of it going into the wrong hands.”
The DISCO Artist Plan has unlimited storage
Sam tells DISCO how pleased he and SNACKTIME were when they realized that a DISCO Artist Plan includes unlimited storage, aka an infinite space to store all of those track versions and stems.
“We have the ability to store our videos on here also, which is super helpful,” he says. “Which will allow us to hopefully not be giving $10 a month to someone else and keep it so we can pay for food on the road. We’re going to start exporting all of our photos and videos there as well.”
